She has experience treating NAET clients from infants to seniors and all ages in between. Recently, Jocelyn has seen wonderful results for asthma sufferers, those with gluten intolerances and different types of skin reactions.

In 1999, she graduated with a diploma from Toronto's Shiatsu (Japanese-style acupressure) School of Canada. There Jocelyn successfully completed 250 hours of Pathology, 200 hours of Anatomy and 200 hours of Physiology as well as enjoying 150 hours of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

All of these courses have proven invaluable to the practice of NAET. As well, Jocelyn uses the practical portion of her previous studies to gently and proficiently apply acupressure with NAET as an alternative to using acupuncture needles.

Along with her Shiatsu background, she brings to her NAET practice diverse knowledge and years of experience from the natural health field – including but not limited to studies in Reiki, Touch for Health, Iridology and Nutrition as well as past experience selling nutritional supplements and herbs in a health food shop.

Jocelyn first learned applied kinesiology or neuromuscular response testing 16 years ago. This testing is crucial to the allergy assessment portion of NAET. Her comprehensive experience in both NRT, and allergies themselves, make Jocelyn a capable and compassionate NAET professional.

Shiatsu and Reiki background

Jocelyn DeVillers began her Shiatsu acupressure career in 1989 after taking a course offered by a Certified Shiatsu Therapist in Lafontaine, Ontario. Jocelyn found she truly enjoyed this style of massage.

In Victoria, BC, Jocelyn began her first business - S.O.S.: Shiatsu on Site for Relaxation. Armed with a special massage chair, she worked in the offices and health clubs of Victoria, beginning in 1994. She also studied Iriodology and Nutritional healing, Reiki, reflexology, Touch for Health, herbology, the Alexander Technique as well as meditation and spiritual healing. In her quest for knowledge she was no longer satisfied by the short courses, books and workshops. Jocelyn decided to seek out the professional level of Shiatsu therapy training.

After extensive research, Jocelyn found the most professional training in Shiatsu Therapy available only in Toronto as a 2,200 hour program of study. In 1997, under Kaz Kamiya, she studied Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, Eastern Medical Theory, Herbology, Kinesiology, Public Health, Shiatsu Theory, Nutrition, Communications, Business Management, and completed 272 sessions in a supervised student clinic. Jocelyn was elected the student representative to the Shiatsu Association of Ontario by her peers.

After graduation in 1999, Jocelyn chose to take her Reiki training to the professional level. She was initiated a Usui-Tibetan Reiki Master by Master Lynne Jenkins. Jocelyn then worked for Women's Wellness Center co-operative in Barrie, Ontario, and then at the Wannakita Spa of the Delawana Resort in Muskoka, Ontario. She then operated a business as an on-site service from downtown Toronto to Muskoka. After, she served as salon manager and therapist on the Regal Empress cruise ship and then on to Whistler, British Columbia. In 2003, she began working at Holtz Health Spa in Ottawa and has now set out into entrepreneurship again with her private practice, Shiatsu at Home.

Jocelyn has become a Karuna ® Reiki Master and is currently working on attaining Lotus Palm Thai Yoga Massage accreditation.
